
My Story
Nationally recognized artist Ash Royer (b. 1995) is a dedicated full-time artist and professional in the Human Services field, specializing in supporting individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). She develops art-based programs and provides vital care to Connecticut residents with TBI, using her artistic skills to aid their therapeutic and expressive needs.
Ash’s artwork has made a significant impact across all 50 states, reaching numerous veterans and community heroes. Her distinguished patrons include Donald "Doc" Ballard, US Army retired Colonel and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient; Staff Sgt. Liam Dyer, and various firehouses and state police stations nationwide that have displayed her original art and posters.

Ash is renowned for her impactful mural designs. Her notable works include a postcard-style mural for Winchester, CT, celebrating the town’s 250th anniversary, and a mural for Lake Compounce, America’s oldest amusement park. She has also contributed murals to the BMX track in Torrington, CT; ClockTown Brewery in Thomaston, CT; and restored the Harwinton Fairground sign in 2023.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Ash is an active member of the Northfield Volunteer Fire Company, serving as a firefighter and EMR. After graduating from the Litchfield County Fire School in December 2020, she painted the fire school patch in their building's lobby.

Ash has also led innovative projects such as Project K9, which provides hand-drawn portraits of deceased K9 officers as tributes to their service. She has spearheaded the restoration of a vintage playground spring toy with Thomaston Park Recreation and collaborated with her brother to support at-risk and homeless teens through art supply donations.

In 2021, Ash was honored with the Litchfield Hill Creative Award, recognizing her contributions to the arts across over 29 towns in Litchfield County.

In 2025 , Ash was honored with the 2024 Emerging Creative Award, from the state of CT Office of the Arts. 3 other artist where also honor out of 169 towns in the state of CT.
